Penny completed a Bachelor of Art (Fine Art Ceramics) at RMIT University, Melbourne (1987), and later a Graduate Diploma (Ceramics and Glass Conservation and Restoration) at West Dean College, West Sussex, UK (1990). Her qualifications and experience as a respected ceramics conservator informs her practice, rendering her works as meticulous and studied subversions.
Penny presented solo show, Ettonez Moi, at Fehily Contemporary in 2014, and is now represented by the gallery. Other recent solo shows include, IPROTEST (2013), Art Basel in Hong Kong with Sullivan + Strumpf; Life is a Riot (2012), Albury Library Museum, Albury, NSW and Political Porcelain (2011-2012), Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, Canberra.
Penny’s work is included in several Australian collections including, Artbank, Lyonhouse Museum, The Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House Canberra and private collections in Australia and overseas.
