Nicole Henusse, a multidisciplinary artist working across writing, brand identity, illustration, fine art, graphic design, and writing, based in Belgium.
Nicole's practice brings together narrative, illustration and graphic design. She begins by looking at a subject in context: the text and its reader for a book, the idea carried by an article, or the real activity behind an identity.
Gouache, watercolour, pastel, charcoal, ink and digital media. Nicole moves comfortably between techniques, from brand identity to editorial illustration and from living subjects to still life, while retaining a consistent hand.
Her training in design, followed by visual anthropology and political science, informs this attention to context without defining the practice on its own.
