Brenda Lui

Brenda Lui (she/her) is a visual artist, milliner, and fashion designer who lives and works in Meeanjin (Brisbane) on Turrbal country, where she feels a deep connection to the land and waters surrounding her. Embracing a feminine aesthetic, Lui combines colour, texture, and movement to unite and evoke joy tinged with melancholy in the viewer. Within her creative practice, Lui experiments with a mix of mediums including textiles and alternate media, which she deploys to explore her lived experiences as a mother and carer of a child with additional needs, together with elements from the natural world.
