Southcott’s recent work has been selected and included for major Australian art awards and competitions. Her ongoing research is primarily within relevant contemporary art theory, cultural and sociological studies that include these subject matters: the 19th century and the postmodern sublime; the urban city environment, and the documentary and abstraction in contemporary photography.
Beverley was awarded a Masters of Visual Arts, South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia, 2004.
