I have worked as a painter, sculptor, writer and minor film maker since the 60s with considerable time spent as a theatre designer and as artistic director of Lift Dance Theatre. 

I begin with ideas via drawing and have no interest in making copies of the world. There is hardly an artist who has not in some way influenced my thinking but I draw inspiration from any artist who has maintained a consistent style and approach over a long period of time such as Alan Charlton, Sean Scully and Patrick Heron.
