My paintings and works on paper thematically focus on the experience of living in and around the urban environment. There is a rich urban narrative which unfolds and evolves on a daily basis creating a perception of change and development.
The intention in my work is to impart a sensation of the urban environment as it is perceived and not as it is known. I invite the viewer to experience a perpetual transit of colour and tone.
The interpreted reality of the everyday passes through a colour “filter”.
The “practice” of everyday life.
