Paul Cox

Painting mostly in oils, Paul focuses mainly on contemporary and figurative Portraiture. Often using very bright colour combinations he is also just as likely to paint some very dark and moody subjects and enjoys shifting between depending on how he feels and what inspires him at the time.

Paul finds inspiration everywhere and is keenly interested in the work of many of the old masters but is equally inspired by more modern painters such as Odd Nerdrum,  Francis Bacon, David Hockney, Sergey Gusev, Yupari and Greg Simkins, Andrew Tischler and of course Cesar Santos.
