Melanie Bardolia

Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and now based in Melbourne, Australia, I am an oil painter and love to paint from life. Faces, places, light patterns on objects, the human figure, and the beauty and emotion evoked by colour and light inspire me to paint. 

I am interested in capturing the essence of the subject. I use bold, expressive, impasto brushstrokes and a colourist palette to portray the subject in a painterly manner.
