To varying degrees I incorporate realism, symbolism, minimalism, abstraction, impressionism, or a combination of the styles into my predominantly Expressionistic artworks.
Using my preferred media, which include water-soluble paint and pencils or graphite and ink pens on paper, as well as digital media, mixed with my endless fascination with contrast and the interplay of natural light and shadows, I make expressive, dynamic, sometimes whimsical but bold, colorful pieces or high-contrast images of simplicity and subtle elegance, highlighting with my mostly nature-inspired subjects an emphasis on emotional and spiritual richness rather than the precise, detailed portrayal of a subject's physical form.
Nature is a magnificent gift from the Creator. Capturing and sharing its beauty, diversity, and design is enjoyable.
I continue my self-taught education through reading, watching videos by teaching artists, practising and, above all, looking to God, the original Artist, for help to develop the gift He has given me.
