I was born in Sydney, Australia and I still live and work here. I was an artist as a baby when I refused to give back my crayons. Formal Art studies began at The College of Fine Art, University of New South Wales, where I ended up with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with First Class Honours in 1997. I began exhibiting in commercial galleries around this time.
While on an Australian Postgraduate Scholarship doing a PhD in Fine Arts I was awarded a Residency in Paris. I spent time afterwards in Hannover and Leipzig, Germany, studying the work and life of German born Assemblage and Collage artist Kurt Schwitters (1887-1948). In 2003 I was awarded a PhD in Fine Arts from UNSW.
This year I also began casual lecturing in Painting and Drawing at COFA. I continue to work and exhibit in Sydney, holding about 13 solo exhibitions and being included in numerous croup exhibitions. Most recently I held a solo exhibition in Sydney in 2019.
